CloudVector Enterprise Edition – Next Generation API Security for Hybrid Cloud Environments

I know I am not alone when I say that this year has presented many unexpected challenges. If I could turn back time, I would have invested in Zoom. But in actuality, Zoom (and similar technologies) provided a digital platform for us to stay connected and productive – proof that the way we work has fundamentally changed. It may be cliché to say it, but our new normal requires us to face the realities of remote work and consumer engagement.

During the past six months, I’ve had a lot of conversations with CIOs, CSOs, and CISOs about how they have adapted to this work from home era. Solutions have varied from VDI (which no one particularly likes or finds very effective), to an assortment of VPN architectures, and my personal preference, the cloud-native service delivery model (protected by “zero trust” solutions). Organizations that had already begun their journey to the cloud during the past few years have found it easiest to flip the switch for a remote workforce. In this regard, the pandemic has probably accelerated the adoption of new IT infrastructure by half a decade or more for a lot of organizations.

The fact of the matter is that state of the art security solutions have been discussing the erosion of the network perimeter and the move to the cloud for most of the past decade. Mega trends, including cloud computing, software-as-a-service, mobile devices and remote workers have contributed to the decline of the traditional security model. And indeed, many solutions have emerged to address these challenges, from next-generation firewalls and cloud-based web gateways to mobile threat detection and advanced endpoint protection.
