A New Chapter

We have entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Imperva.

Imperva’s mission to secure data and all paths to it resonates particularly well with us. For many years, Imperva has built groundbreaking products to secure data across edge, applications and data, establishing itself as a leader in protecting all paths to data. Adding CloudVector’s API security capabilities would be a perfect fit. The end-to-end solution will be exactly what our customers need in a world where web application security converges with API security and AppSec converges with NetSec.

We founded CloudVector in mid 2018 with a mission to provide an industry-first API Threat Protection Platform based on Deep API Intelligence. The motivation for this came from the following:

  1. Software is eating the world, APIs are the dense fabric connecting the next generation of the web and applications.
  2. APIs will become a double-edged sword: On one side they will accelerate the business value for enterprises yet on the other side they can be abused in an attempt to exfiltrate sensitive data.
  3. Cyber Security teams will not be able to keep up with the Dev & DevOps pace of rapid changes, especially with hybrid cloud deployments using advanced technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, GraphQL, gRPC, etc.

Early-adopter customers have successfully deployed our solution at scale to automatically build a complete inventory of all APIs down to the data object level; and keep it up-to-date without any manual intervention or impact on developers. We are ready to build on this initial success to take to the next level of API security. By joining forces with Imperva, we will bring this same value to many more organizations for years to come.

We look forward to an exciting journey ahead.
